At last TypePad has moved this blog to its new enhanced compose editor; which means that I should have better control over formatting.
Gas Prices
Although gas prices in the DC area are reported at below $3.00, here's the gas station across the street from me. Of course, it is on US Rt. 1, so the prices there can be expected to be above average.
Crunch
This past Saturday I was walking near Pentagon City and heard the crunch of cars and looked to find this just a second later. I'm not certain which driver was at fault, though.
Georgie Cat
This flyer is posted in the neighborhood. It's been 2 weeks since Georgie wandered away from her home. I don't believe she's been returned to her family yet, though.

Glasses
I picked up these new glasses at World Market a few days ago. Can't beat a good pilsner glass for pilsner.
And while I usually prefer a martini in a rocks glass (on the rocks, of course), I couldn't resist this cobalt blue martini glass.
Krave
Yesterday I visited the Pentagon City Verizon Wireless store to get a first look at the new Motorola Krave ZN4 phone.
It's a different sort of clamshell phone with a touch screen on the inside and a clear plastic lid that transmits touches to the touch screen below it when the phone is closed. The clear lid also contains the earpiece. I don't know how they managed to do that. The touch screen was very responsive, although still not in the same league as the iPhone.
It has a decent 2 MP camera, speaker, HTML browser, bluetooth, and can handle visual voice mail, Verizon's Navigator, etc.
I wasn't able to compare the Krave's browser to that on the LG Dare, since web access hadn't yet been enabled on the brand-new Krave in the store. I'll be trying out the browser on another visit.
Although everything I saw on the Krave was impressive, I'm not entirely sold on it. The form factor is unlike anything I've ever seen, and could take some getting used to.
